As the New Year gets under way, I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude to our clients, colleagues, and vendors. Our team at NDG is sincerely grateful to work with professionals who share our passion and core values of service, honesty, integrity, and character. It’s truly the relationships that make our work meaningful and inspirational, and we are excited about our future collaborations and opportunities in 2012.

In November, Steve Alloy, President of Stanley Martin Homes, an NDG client, created a list of seven positive things consumers should know about our nation’s current economic state.

For example, did you know that the recession actually ended in June 2009, and that the U.S. economy actually grew by 2.5% in the fourth quarter of this year? Click here to read about this and other encouraging news, such as the profitability of American companies, the truth about unemployment in our region, and more.

The holidays started a little earlier than usual here at NDG Communications. Kicking off in early November, members of our team were busy writing scripts, shooting video, designing a website, and even “sweetening up” a dollhouse for what would become this year’s NDG interactive holiday greeting: the world’s first “Sweetly Efficient” house, from EnergySweet Homes.

For days, we were at work converting what once was a simple dollhouse into a mouth-watering masterpiece complete with graham cracker floors, chocolate solar panels, and a fruitcake foundation, among other scrumptious efficiency features. Click here to see the fruits—or should we say, “candy”—of our labor!

We are happy to announce that Beechtree, a valued NDG client, has officially broken ground on their swim and racquet club. The new facility—a recreation centerpiece in Upper Marlboro’s premier luxury community—will feature a clubhouse, meeting/party room, swimming pool, children’s pool, fitness center, and a racquet club! Beechtree is also home to an award-winning golf course, 11,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, and a scenic 30-acre lake.

NDG is pleased to announce our client, Stanley Martin Homes, and Duball LLC recently launched a new website for their latest community, Foxhall Ridge.

Foxhall Ridge is a luxurious community of elegant townhomes located between Georgetown and the Palisades in Washington, D.C. The community offers luxury townhomes for discerning homebuyers in two unique neighborhoods, The Enclave and The Terraces.

Designed by NDG, the new website features an interactive sitemap,  and showcases available homesites in each neighborhood, as well as nearby amenities.

NDG is proud to have developed this website with the wonderful team at Stanley Martin and we look forward to more fruitful collaboration.

How many agencies in our business get to work with the best of the very best? NDG Communications congratulates our client Mid-Atlantic Builders on being named Builder of the Year by the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association.

We are exceedingly proud to work with such a remarkable company that always goes above and beyond in quality and service for their customers, and happy that they have received the recognition they so rightly have earned and deserved.

So to the entire Mid-Atlantic Builders team, we wish you sincerest congratulations on your 9th Builder of the Year award!

Last night, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association held the 3rd Annual Great American Living Awards. Hundreds of the real estate industry’s best from across the DC region came together at the Sheraton Premier at Tyson’s Corner to celebrate excellence in real estate marketing, design, architecture, and sales.

It was a big night for our client, K. Hovnanian Homes, as they took home three awards for:

  • Best Website for a National Builder: High Performance Home/Nate Website
  • Best Online Advertising for Ad Campaign: Annual Cost Savings Banners
  • Award of Merit for Online Social Media Campaign: High Performance Home/Nate Social Media Campaign

Congratulations to K. Hovnanian Homes. We are proud of the collaborative effort and grateful to be able to share this recognition with you!

When an employee at Brookfield Homes, a client of NDG, lost her life to domestic violence in 1996, the company banded together to not only honor the memory of Lisa Sechrist, but also to help young women build self esteem and professional skills—and support local efforts to provide a safe place to live, with the hope of preventing the recurrence of such a tragedy.

Since then, Brookfield Homes has raised nearly $500,000 in scholarships and assisted more than 100 young women with the Lisa Sechrist Memorial Foundation.

In addition to financial contributions, they accept non-perishable food, clothing, school supplies, toys, furniture, and more.

For homebuyers who want to buy new, but just don’t have the time to wait for a new home to be built, many builders, including our client Stanley Martin Homes, offer “spec” or “immediate delivery homes,” built based on what the builder thinks potential buyers are looking for.
