The summer of 2018 might’ve been one of the busiest we’ve ever seen at NDG, but that didn’t stop us from taking some time out to travel, explore and spend time with our families. Here’s a look back at the destinations some of our team members vacationed to these past few months.

Bar Harbor, Maine

“My husband and I spent a week exploring the beautiful Acadia National Park up in Maine. We did some canoeing and managed to tip our boat in the Jordan Pond, so that was fun. But my favorite part of the trip was biking the carriage roads in Acadia. Oh, and don’t worry, we ate plenty of lobster while we were there, too.” –Beverly Virkler, Associate Creative Director

The Outer Banks, North Carolina

“My family made its way back down to the Outer Banks for the family reunion that’s been held there every other year for more than 20 years. This time around, we caught a Fleetwood Mac tribute band concert, which was amazing. If you’re ever in the Ocracoke Island area in OBX, be sure to check out Howard’s Pub.” –Rebecca Howard, Marketing Assistant

Norfolk, Virginia

“We got to celebrate my husband’s birthday at the start of the trip. And what better way to celebrate than by visiting some museums? This was our first time in Norfolk, so after our museum treks, we booked a short cruise to do some sightseeing from the water. Norfolk is definitely a hidden gem in Virginia, and we definitely plan to go back and explore it some more in the future.” –Ina-Marie Sanabria, Junior Web Developer

Minneapolis, Minnesota

“On a trip to see family in South Dakota, I knew I had to stop through Minneapolis to catch a game at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins. Growing up in Minnesota, my dad and I witnessed countless games at the old Metrodome, and we still never miss a chance to create new memories with our favorite team all these years later.” –Greg Jensen, Digital Strategy Manager

Lancaster, Ohio

“Fun fact: My parents got married on the Fourth of July. And for the holiday this year, our family traveled out to Ohio to help them celebrate anniversary number 47. And if that wasn’t fun enough, we got to mark the occasion with matching pajamas for everyone!” –Mel Gloyd, Media Manager

Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina

“My wife and I traveled down to the small town of Ocean Isle Beach to soak up the sun with family. As an avid baseball fan, I knew we had to make it out to a Pelicans game in Myrtle Beach, which was just a short drive from where we were staying. Summer night. Baseball. Enough said.” –Josh Owens, Digital Marketing Coordinator
