<description>Thanks for your reply Tom, and thanks for updating us on the Flash/SEO topic. We&#039;ve all been indoctrinated for so long that Flash = SEO death. Keep it coming.

		<description>Jim,

Thanks for your question and your support of our blog.

And yes, you&#039;re correct, when dealing with more competitive keyword phrases can be more challenging to achieve a top organic position—regardless of the site&#039;s development (be it Flash or simple HTML).

If you use the proper techniques, you CAN achieve top results for highly competitive phrases with a Flash-based website. But remember, Flash alone is not what is helping achieve a high-page rank. Successful SEO requires multiple techniques working in tandem—there is no single &quot;magic bullet&quot; that can master Google&#039;s ever-changing algorithm.

Many in the industry have mislabeled Flash as a &quot;kiss of death&quot; for SEO. That&#039;s simply not true. Yes, Flash does introduce some SEO challenges that are not present with a more traditional HTML architecture, but there are techniques that can be utilized to work around those challenges.

Like I mentioned, optimizing a Flash-based website requires more effort, but you &lt;em&gt; can&lt;/em&gt; get the results you desire.

Thanks,
Tom</description>

		<description>Hi Tom, great blog post.

The advancement in searchable flash should really help broaden our ability to provide a rich user experience without sacrificing our SEO tactics. I have one question.

I can see how an all-flash site can have a good ranking in a space that is not extremely competitive like the ‘Townhomes in La Plata’ example. But do you think an all-flash website can compete in highly competitive spaces like say ‘atlanta real estate’ or ‘chicago new homes’?

I look forward to meeting you sometime.

Thanks again,
